Katherine's debut talk

So, my beautiful but fiery daughter gave her first youth talk in church yesterday. I was very proud of her. She wrote the entire thing herself and delivered her thoughts very clearly. I thought I would burst with pride watching her.

However, Matthew and I couldn't allow the opportunity to pass. We helped her sculpt one line. Her talk was on service and in the middle of her talk she delivered this jab. "Another example of service is BYU's quarterback, Max Hall, who, on his quest for perfection, threw the ball five times to the University of Utah, helping them win the game. What sacrifice." I actually saw one guy raise his hands in a cheer, while I know others were booing her. She delivered the line fairly dead panned and it was perfect.

Go Utes and Go Katherine!

that is awesome!! I don't think we would dare say that down here though. James did wear his Ute tie while conducting in Sacrament and the rest of the family wore red to church. It was great!
