Just a little clarification. Working may work for many women. I am not one of them. I appreciate that many women can work full time and take care of their house and family. I just happen to not be one of them. I wish I were one of those super moms, really, I do. My limitations were made abundantly clear to me last month. To all the super moms who are able to do it all, hats off to you.
I hope I didn't offend any of you. Sometimes I need a better filter on my thoughts.

I don't believe you would have offended anyone. I am amazed how women work and mother at the same time. I stay home and feel like I still can't get most things on my list done!!
PS-I LOVE the name Jack. Mike doesn't.
We count as one of our most prized blessings, the fact that Lisa can be home with the kids. It is becoming increasingly rare that this is possible for many families, and at the risk of offending others, I think the advantages are great. I have a good, close friend whose wife just can't take NOT working, and has to be engaged outside of the home constantly. Good for her. But I can also tell you it comes at a big cost to their family.
addendum: This friend of mine - his wife - she does amazing things and she has accomplished a lot, but the home is not where she focuses her time. I look at it like this, however: it's like a business and if you have good resources, good employees, that can focus and specialize, your product and service will be superior and successful. Business that try to do things with less or cut corners will often have quality issues in their product, or deliver a less comprehensive product/service. Be it the husband or the wife, if there are focused, dedicated resources in the home to raise children, it has to make a difference.
