The Last Day of School

I love the last day of school. Not only does it mean no more homework, projects and spelling tests, but it also reminds me of the feeling I always had on that last day, what a great memory. Today Matthew and I went to the awards assembly. Elliot was given an award for perfect attendance and for "math fact mastery" (Only one kid in each class gets this). Emilia also got "math fact mastery" and the nationaly physical fitness award. Katherine got the presidential physical fitness award, the presidents gold award for educational excellence and a certificate for student council. It was fun to see all the kids rewarded for their hard work this year.

Now I have a 7th grader, a 5th grader and a 2nd grader. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. I couldn't be more proud of the kiddo's.

Jen,

I keep forgetting that we have three kids in the same grade! How does it feel to have a middle schooler? Kind of old huh? :)
Congratulations to all the kids for doing so well this year....

awesome to see your kids kick some butt. Thanks for sharing!

In the end, seeing our kids in school and all that they have to keep up with, makes me very happy that I don't have to go through that stage of life again.
